It occurred to me today that I meant to do this earlier... I generally just lurk, so open invitations are always welcome.

1. My name is Lindsay.
2. I am 24 years old.
3. I live in Jersey with my fiance, who is also 24. I have a Master's in elementary and special education; I used to work in a public school, but I had to resign due to the fact that they were treating me like crap. I'm about to go work at the daycare I worked at in college so that I can work with kids in a happier environment where there is constant communication with parents and I only have one boss. I can't wait to have kids of my own, but I guess I have to wait a few years.
4. I've been reading this blog since I found it through 12% Beer; I think you were just starting the job you're at now, maybe? It's been a long time, at any rate. What keeps me coming back is how much you make me laugh (and sometimes cry, occasionally all in one entry), and your amazing pictures. I frequently want to tell you what a fan I am of your writing, but I generally don't because I am totally socially awkward and things don't translate well over the internet. Anyway, now that I've blathered on, I love your writing, you have the cutest family (your boys are SO CUTE, and I love Dog and Cat too), and I hope that you keep writing for a very long time.

[...] I have a little questionnaire that I stole from Linda, over from All and Sundry. She asked these questions to keep her occupied while she was waiting for her c-section, I ask because 41 of you answered my poll about your gender, showing Adam that he is among seven men who read this blog. Thank you for participating! [...]

I *LOVE* your sense of humor, the way you write, and just the life in general that you portray. It's not all sunshine and lollipops but I believe you have it made :P Congrats on the newest addition !! :)

Hi, I'm 33, single, no kids yet. I'm from Virginia. I'm in grad school right now for my Ph.D. (I worked for a while after getting my Master's degree before deciding to come back to school for a doctorate). I'm still looking for Mr. Right, and hope to have children as well. I first visited your page way back when everyone did diaryland (around 2003 or 2004). I found you via another diarylander who lived/lives in your city. Over the years, I've continued to drop in from time to time, and appreciate your combined honesty and humor. Best wishes with your 2nd baby!

It cracks me up that that there's another Taryn on here!
I'll add myself to the list even tho I'm coming to the game late. You might be bored later & need some more to read about:
1- Taryn
2- 31
3- I bought my 1st house last year all by myself. I have 2 cats (uh oh...crazy cat lady), Isis and Cleocatra. I was dating a Scottish Zen Buddhist priest (roll that around in your brain a minute) but it just *DID NOT* work out and I'm very happy to be single right now, though I will consider dating offers from John Cusack if asked! I'm an account manager for an insurance company that specializes in commercial transportation: that translates to "we insure big rigs". I am agnostic, but I observe Saturday as my sabbath--it is the Holy Day of Yardsales and nothing else commeth before that. I also enjoy thrift stores and estate sales. Music and art will always important in my life.
4-I started reading your blog around 2003 or 2004? A very long time ago! I was a recipient of one of your home made xmas cards that year you sent them out! I feel like I know you so well which is so strange for not having ever met you. I keep reading your blog b/c you are funny, interesting, articulate, & I am fairly certain we're operating on the same brain wave most of the time. : )

Hi Linda!

My name is Taryn and I'm 21 years old. I'm a college student studying political science and I live at home. Hopefully, when Riley and Dylan are my age you will be traveling/writing novel/insert here (hehe). Only 18 years to go!

I've been reading your blog for several months now and I believe I found it via Whoorl. You're a fantastic writer and I am always entertained when I visit. Your children (multiple! children!) are adorable as well, so that never hurts!

Congratulations on the newest addition to your family!

After 100's and 100's of answers PLUS a brand spankin' new bebe, my answer will be lost in the mists of time, I'm guessing. I'll answer it anyway!

1. Anne
2. 38
3. I live with my husband and my cat, I work full time as a plant pathology research scientist and I go to school nights (in the process of getting my RN), and I am presently working my way out of a deep, dark rut of depression with overtones of alcoholic behavior. Your posts on that lattermost topic have been more helpful than you'll ever know - so thank you very, very much.
4. I've been reading the blog since some time before Riley's birth - can't exactly recall when. When I "discovered" you, I was so excited - you're very funny and real and so very much cooler than me. I immediately sent your link to my best friend (who, incidentally, lives in Seattle) and we've both been reading ever since. I come back for your sharp writing, your honesty, and your marvelous sense of humor.

Congratulations on your gorgeous baby boy!
