Dog would like to know what you’re doing this weekend.

How can you refuse? YOU MUST OBEY THE SNOUT.

Me, I will be doing much of the same, but plan to escape the house at some point for a facial. And not the “protein mask” my husband likes to gleefully offer whenever I speak of such things, but the expensive spa variety where I get to lie back and enjoy a (hopefully) poop-free environment for an hour or so. CAN’T. WAIT.

Tell me what you’ve got in the works, okay? Or the snout will touch you.

PS. Is anyone planning to go to BlogHer this year? I might be attending for business reasons and I am wondering whose pantlegs I can nervously cling to.

Well, I’m staying home with my boys all weekend, finishing crafts and cleaning the house. My 14 month old got tubes in his ears Friday morning, so we’re taking it easy for a few days. Plus, it’s snowing and I really just want to veg inside and maybe watch a girl movie when they’re napping and the hubby is shooting sporting clays tomorrow!

Love dog! Good dog!

I hope to be hanging out with a friend who’s been away for a long time (he’s military), seeing his new baby and consuming more alcohol than is prudent. That might not pan out, so I have other plans — cleaning the kitchen! De-griming the bathtub! Playing Ocarina of Time until I develop an alien growth on my thumb! It’s all going to be very exciting.

I’m staving off lonliness by overfilling my calendar with tasks like grocery shopping, Home Depot shopping, shoe shopping and obsessive house cleaning while my fiance is away for the week. I might even put my anti-social tendencies away and go to the St. Patrick’s Day parade tomorrow, mostly so I can play with my friend’s dog.

For the snout? Oh, how could I resist. Even though I am having a very boring weekend.
Today, I have no good plans. I’m going to wash my hair tonight, and I’d like to get in some yoga now, even though it’s probably been over a year since the last time I did yoga, so I probably won’t even be able to do downward dog, or something. I have a Tom Robbins book to read (“Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas”, which I read a LOONG time ago, and is nothing like I remember, and also a bit prudey/pervy), and I have a back episode of each of Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy to watch, however I only get to watch them if I’m knitting– I have a scarf to finish for my boyfriend, and I’ll lose all motivation once it’s hot outside!
Tomorrow I am working from 8-5 boo. Then I’ll probably come home and cry because spring break is over and I didn’t do anything fun (outside of the bedroom). And maybe I’ll look in at that statistics homework… or not.

it might already be friday, but oh well. although i live in nyc, im in buffalo this week, thanks to columbia being on spring break [yay no grad school!] and me magically getting off work [SUPER YAY no work!].

friday night: went to buffalo sabres vs carolina hurricanes hockey game with my dad and cousins. sabres won, my cousins got to be on tv and i had mint-ting-a-ling ice cream. excellent.

today, saturday: went to the REAL st patricks day parade in buffalo’s old irish first ward. enjoyed some guinness and irish soda bread, saw some crazy local characters [who doesnt love a parade?] and almost lost a toe to frostbite. [ok that was an exaggeration, but still. my feet were cold.] then went to a fundraiser for my cousins step daughter who had some medical issues. currently sitting at home watching the sabres play the toronto maple leafs on my parents ridiculously large rear projection television…

tomorrow, sunday: skiing in ellicotville ny with my sister, her boyfriend, and their friends. i have been skiing all of ONCE in my life, so this should be interesting…

normally my weekend consists of work, sleep and homework. so, this is a welcome change…

I was just wondering about Dog the other day. Haven’t seen her in a while; hello snout.

This weekend I will be giving in to spring fever and raking leaves (darn Live Oaks lose them in the *spring*) and washing the windows and giving the dogs a bath.

Avoiding SXSW which I just can’t deal with this year…

I will be trying to scare the crap out of a robin who hurtles himself at my plate glass window at 6 am. Make. It. Stop.

Dog looks just like my dog. Those wily yellow labs have really perfected the art of looking pathetic, no?

Have a great weekend ~

So far…erm…nothing. And, much as BlogHer sounds like fun, I am terrified of crowds and would be by self. Has anyone else ever said they had problems typing comments here? Every time I try it takes 10 minutes because it is like my keys are sticking.

My last two days of spring break and I worked- I’m a nurse. First, had a big robbery scare false alarm that conceded in staying awake til 8:30 am at a patient’s friend’s house (long ass story), being a DD for a “preparty” Bachelor party. I think I get the suck ass weekend award.

My husband and I are having a war over 10 dollars!

We’re not allowed to say our “most used annoying comeback phrases” and the first one who does loses 10 bucks, and has to provide a “loving” favor for the second.

We also added in the fun of not saying the “big 5” swear words, but that lasted a day and had to change to “whoever says less of them wins.” I went ahead and lost that one three seconds after the bet was made.

Well, I had to be tortured by spending Saturday night at my MIL’s annual St. Patty’s Day event. They get worse every year. The only thing that’s good is the food. I try not to complain though….well, maybe I don’t try THAT hard.

Oh my, that furry face and that snout are irresistable.
My hubby and I are finally going on our honeymoon today to Maui!!! It’s only taken us a year and a half to save up from the wedding!

Have a wonderful spa day!

Dog,
This weekend I will be wasting time with my dog in the hopes of avoiding studying for my organic chemistry and french test later this week. College is the best years of your life? I hope not. The only pro that I can see is the myriad of booze and promiscuity that is not only excusable but practically demanded. On second thought, maybe I will go to grad school…

As a small business owner with about a dozen employees. The best money I spend every two weeks is for a payroll service. It takes me 10 minutes to get my numbers together and send it to them. All taxes are paid correctly and on time and w2s show up like magic in January.

I will definitely be at BlogHer. Cling all you want to (so long as you don’t mind some reciprocation). Also, I have a hot tub about 15 minutes away from BlogHer and you can come sit in it if you want.
