i didn’t see anyone answer this exactly, but maternity mostly depends on where you work…you are allowed to take 6 weeks off no matter where you work (but they don’t have to pay you during that time, just let you have your job back when you return)…

based on these comments, looks like sweden is the place to be when you have a baby!

Those last two pictures might be the cutest ones EVER (I’m still a pretty big fan of the most recent one of Dog, though…I luuuve Dog. Even if she does do the goddamn-baby-waking-ear-flapping-full-body-shake in the middle of the night.)

And…um, a gym membership? On VACATION? beeyatch. (I agree with everyone here, you look awesome!)

btw, Donna’s right about the maternity leave in Canada. You get full coverage from Employment Insurance so you’re kinda paid while you stay home post birth. Dads get covered to stay home for a period of time too.

In Sweden, women get five years leave and their jobs are guaranteed (last time I checked).

Oh man……only one month left? It seems like only yesterday little D was born.

I am so envious of those Oregon beach photos. And it’s SUNNY to boot! Enjoy every minute.

P.S. If it were me, I’d ditch the gym and run barefoot on that packed wet sand (with ear plugs to avoid wind-caused ear ache).

I am glad to hear that Riley is feeling better – I know how sucky it is to take a trip with a sick kid.
And OMG – can he look any more like JB in that pic of you and him. That firece smile is all JB!
