My first day at work? Surprisingly gratifying. I am, at the moment, glad to have Workplace back in my life.

(I wore jeans, low heels, and a fake wrap shirt thing, and that worked fine, except for the briefly terrifying/humiliating moment when I tripped on the stairs and nearly plummeted to my death. I am not used to wearing shoes, what can I say.)

Real quick-like, I thought I’d let you know that the fitness/health/etc blog I mentioned earlier is up. It’s hosted on Gather.com and sponsored by Boca Foods; my entries appear under the “Featured Articles” section. I’ve got three articles published at the moment, and the idea is to continue updating at least on a weekly basis (I’ll add another RSS widget thing to my site here at some point). This is where I plan to do most of my blathering about workouts, dieting, and my progress with fitting back into my Joe’s Jeans (current status: am able to button the waist, but cannot yet sit down without rupturing an internal organ).

Also, there will be progress photos. Dear god.

Anyway, please go check it out if you’re interested. I think you have to be a Gather.com member to post comments, but you can always email me if you have Blog Topic Requests.

Good luck, it looks good so far. I’m trying to lose weight myself and have no child to excuse it…

I burst out laughing at the trip largely because that is SO something I would do. God love you for posting “update” photos on a web site! You are a STRONG and better woman then I!

Ah, you’ve made me nostalgic for Arrested Development! Sigh. We had many laughs over that crazy ass show. We are filling the AD void with season one of Battle Star Galactica. AWESOME show, if not a little weird. I am seriously getting annoyed with Dr. Guies Baltar and the panty-pout blond cylon. Good grief man, grow some balls already!

Anyhow! Enough about TV. I am glad you had a good day back at work and I look forward to reading your fitness blog. You’re pretty hard core, so I am sure those jeans will bow to you soon.

I really need somebody to motivate me.

Congrats on the new gig – and I know you will be putting all of us to shame in a few weeks when you post how you had to buy a new pair of Joe’s Jeans in a smaller size.
    ;-P

Yay new blog! Between you and Swistle I have been totally spoiled with bloggy goodness these past few days.

I hate to be a blog pimp, but I had a similar experience with stairs just last night. The outcome was Not Good.

Yes..I have jeans like that in my closet. I wouldn’t wear those suckers in public. I fear that the button or zipper or something would pop off and someone would lose an eye.

Around here we call shoes foot prison. I hope you post recipes on the fitness blog. I still eat the salad with salsa as the dressing. So good. Also, your apple crapple, but that’s probably not as appropriate for a fitness blog.

    Bookmarked!

    *tosses you my flab*

Pound it into shape for me will ya?

(I’m only working out 6 out of 7 days a week busting my ass and only maintaining because I have a little problem. If you can do an entry on how to get over the cravings that appear suddenly in the evening I will be most grateful. I am weakest at that time of day for the B&J, licorice, and potato chips). I’ve considered drugging myself with sleeping pills ahead of time, but that might not be a good idea.)

So happy everything is going well. And progress photos? I don’t think I’d be so brave. (Oh, and long live Arrested Development.)

why was I not told that you had new posts up? I had to come here to see if something was going on and then found not one but two posts I was not notified of? I am very devastated.

Get this – your new blog? Is blocked by the great annoying firewall of China. I suppose I’ll have to catch your progress in August when I get home – if you’re not done progressing, that is.
