Okay. I made the cookies yesterday to exact specifications, and they were perfect. Perfect. I'm now hopelessly devoted to this recipe.

The cookies are teh awesome. In case anyone is still reading these comments, I made them with kosher salt, so they had big chunks of salty goodness in with the sweet chocolate. Yum-E.

I'm late to this post, but it's never too late to say holy shit! I've never seen anything like that fryer, but now feel I must have one. If I show my husband this post, he's going out in the worst weather we've had in two years to get one, I can feel it. Guess I won't show him this until we are back to our usual rainy selves here...

Ok, I made the cookies. I thought some of them were a little undercooked, but maybe it's just the way my drool moistens them when I bite into them.

We made the cookies yesterday. That recipe is very similar to the one I usually use, except mine calls for 2 1/4 cups of flour and also calls for baking powder as well as baking soda. In following your recipe, we found that the dough looked so dry when we had most of the flour mixed in, we decided to add a third egg. We also used pretty large-granular sugar instead of normal white sugar and very dark brown sugar, I don't know if that accounts for the dryness we encountered. Maybe if we'd trusted in just 2 eggs they would've come out crispy, but they were still yummy.
