For a brief period of time I was posting cat pictures on a Tumblr. I can’t keep that shit up, but the embarrassing truth remains: at least 67% of my phone’s photo library is filled with CAT.

    She can’t help being photogenic.

  2. Amy N on October 4th, 2012 5:01 pm

Hysterical! She’s so cute. Besides kids, my photos are all the 2 cats/2 dogs/2 rats. yes, the boys finally talked me into getting a rat. But we had to get two because they’re very social.

I think I might need to start building an ark.

  3. Victoria on October 4th, 2012 5:02 pm

    Your cat’s pretty darn cute!

  4. warcrygirl on October 4th, 2012 5:03 pm

Prettah Kitteh! I could look at cat pics all day, then again I am a cat person…

  5. Jo on October 4th, 2012 5:07 pm

She’s so cute! Oh, and I hear you, since we adopted a cat in July, nearly 75% of my phone photos are of him…

  6. Erika Peterson on October 4th, 2012 5:39 pm

I was just going through the photos on my phone and have the same problem… We adopted two kittens in July and I just can’t stop myself. I really don’t know what I’m going to do with ANOTHER sleepy kitty photo?

  7. Angella on October 4th, 2012 5:56 pm

I would take her over Chica/Thomas any day. Trade?

  8. Danell on October 4th, 2012 6:17 pm

Gah cat is really REALLY cute.

  9. Melanie on October 4th, 2012 6:28 pm

    GAHHHHHHH!

  10. Andi on October 4th, 2012 6:32 pm

Your cat is adorable. I have to say my favorite picture is the cat on the shelve. Mostly because I LOVE that your books are sorted by color! Awesome! :)

  11. Molly on October 4th, 2012 6:37 pm

Hysterical! I actually have a phone full of pictures of my dog. She is also the wallpaper on my work computer. I also have a framed 8 x 10 picture hanging in my dining room.

Oh … did I mention I have three kids?

  12. Meagan on October 4th, 2012 7:59 pm

Don’t be silly, the 4th from the bottom is a photo of your color sorted bookshelves, coordinating painting and vase, with cat-accent piece.

  13. H on October 4th, 2012 8:40 pm

I love CAT. I particularly love her black markings – they kind of look like someone went nuts with a Sharpie!

  14. Mnerva on October 4th, 2012 8:53 pm

Aww, I love cat! She is sooo pretty, especially her unusual markings. But my fave “photo” of her by far is the drawing! Awesomeness!

  15. Liz on October 4th, 2012 9:02 pm

Nooooo, Cat in #6! She is trapped under a granite slab!

  16. Jennie on October 4th, 2012 9:29 pm

I’ve just spent five solid minutes trying to figure out how the cat got on that bookshelf. I mean, really. THE PHYSICS. THEY DON’T WORK, RIGHT?

  17. Michelle K. on October 4th, 2012 9:52 pm

People make money off that kind of cuteness!

  18. Erika on October 5th, 2012 3:52 am

That Tumbler was my favorite thing ever…EVER. It still makes me laugh (and scares me a little)

  19. Cheryl S. on October 5th, 2012 5:51 am

Right there with you! Oh, and bonus points to your kitty if she had to knock something down to lay on that shelf in the bookcase!

  20. Sarah on October 5th, 2012 5:53 am

I love the second one!! And I’m diggin’ the cat on the shelf too!

Keep it up crazy cat lady! ;-)

  21. Karen on October 5th, 2012 6:26 am

I have more pictures of my cats than anyone else in existance. Even if I had kids, I would probably take more pictures of my cats. I make no excuses, I’m in love with the cute furriness that is cats.

  22. Nimble on October 5th, 2012 8:20 am

Who could resist such a subject? That cat drawing is most excellent.

  23. Halyn on October 5th, 2012 8:38 am

ha, I miss that tumblr. I damn near choke every time I read it, ’cause I laugh so hard. Maybe you could find a teeny, tiny bit of time for it? Pretty Please?

  24. Marisol on October 5th, 2012 9:33 am

I love following you on Instagram, for many reasons, including that darn cat. :)

  25. Maggie on October 5th, 2012 10:48 am

Well I’m a crazy cat lady, so I’m probably not the person to ask about this, but she is so pretty! I don’t blame you. We have tons of cat and dog photos, also photos of our kids etc. Basically in the future someone is going to wonder if any of these kids or animals had parents because we are in none of our photos.

  26. Staci on October 5th, 2012 10:57 am

Am I the only one who wants a GAH cat 2013 calendar? I’d SO buy one.

  27. Lucy on October 5th, 2012 11:08 am

You should do a book of photos of cat! The pics are brilliant!

  28. Redbecca on October 5th, 2012 1:03 pm

I’m with Jennie. Either she put holes in your (what appears to be leather) chair, or scratches in the end table, or gouges in the book case, or she has some mad agility skills to get on that shelf without leaving a mark somewhere! That or my cats are total klutzes.

  29. sooboo on October 5th, 2012 3:32 pm

I too miss the tumblr. You captured her mischievousness so wonderfully. Also, the belly on that cat is next level fluffiness!!

  30. melanie on October 5th, 2012 7:03 pm

    Keeep

  31. melanie on October 5th, 2012 7:04 pm

Aaaargh kindle!! Trying to say keep it coming, I love cats!!

  32. Megan on October 5th, 2012 7:47 pm

Ahhh, I love that Tumblr so much, it will always remain in my favorites even if it’s never updated again! GAH CAT INDEED.

  33. Amy on October 7th, 2012 11:25 am

you have a husband and kids, which gives you automatic immunity from CCL status. me, not so much, which is why I rarely post anything of my cats. but those pics are cute and the drawing is adorable!

  34. Jennifer on October 7th, 2012 1:36 pm

Still obsessing about your home decor: what room has the lovely tile floor and stone countertop? Gorgeous! And the cat color scheme fits well.

Her left eye looks like she did a beautiful job applying her mascara. Right eye, not so much. :)

  35. MEP on October 8th, 2012 8:31 am

How can you resist kissing that sweet black nose?? She is too cute.

  36. Susie on October 8th, 2012 9:20 am

That tumblr is, no lie, my very favorite cat thing on the internet.

  37. Randy on October 8th, 2012 11:30 am

Cats are odd creatures and it is their oddity that makes for good photography.

  38. Mariya on October 11th, 2012 9:58 am

Those pictures are adorable and put a smile on my face….I especially like the one where she’s mid-attack :)

  39. Steph on October 11th, 2012 1:15 pm

Your phone is 67% cat because she is so cute!! I love the second one, it’s just SO cat — hidden, but curious.

  40. HME on October 16th, 2012 9:43 am

I’m with Meagan – I’m floored by the color coordinated painting and bookshelves. I love those recessed shelves. Wow.

  41. Jill on October 28th, 2012 8:51 pm

    Oh my gosh… I found a shelving-books-by-color soul mate.

  42. Jill on October 28th, 2012 8:52 pm

HA! Even better, I can recognize some of the books by their binding.

  43. Jen KC on November 1st, 2012 8:22 am

She’s such a cute cat, I had to come back and see her pictures again.

The bookshelf: I try the color method of shelving my books. It just doesn’t look as good as yours!
