A few weeks ago I spent an hour on the phone with a wonderfully helpful person at GoDaddy who helped walk me through a number of technical steps to try and fix this website, which was FUBAR’d for unknown reasons. We ended up turning off a bunch of my plugins, because she suspected one might be causing issues with my ancient WordPress installation, and that seemed to do the trick. I don’t think the email notification works any more, though, and lord knows the spam filters don’t do a good job. I should update WordPress because it’s old enough to be susceptible to all kinds of security issues, but I don’t really know how and I’m afraid I’ll break everything.

Sundrymourning.com loads so, so slowly. Images take forever to upload, and they have to be a super specific size or they bust the formatting. And, well, I guess I’m just not motivated to write here like I used to be. Things have changed.

I’m still interested in sharing things online, in ways that are easier to control and manage. I’m on Instagram and Facebook, and if you request a connection and drop me a note (sundry at gmail dot com) telling me who you are I’d be happy to find you that way. (I tightened up on privacy last year after an unpleasant experience with a trolling forum.)

I have a fun little Tumblr where I post recommendations. I started it a while back, abandoned it, and decided to start it up again. It’s called Sundry Buzz, for old times’ sake.

I don’t know if I’ll be back here, but I won’t close the door. It’s been an amazing journey, and I cannot thank you enough, those who reached out and supported me or just came along for the ride for a while. Much love.

Mwah!

I’ve loved reading you for years – I found you when my son was about 1, and Riley was a baby (they’re about a year apart) and quickly realized that the mom part of your writing was just scratching the surface. I’ll miss your blog and hope to find you on other site online. I may shoot you a line and see if you’ll add me…you’re a rock star. One of my all time faves. xo

I’ve been reading since before your kids were born and can’t believe how fast time as flown by. I’ve never been a blogger but have so enjoyed reading yours and others over the years. As you say, the internet has changed so much and I miss those long heartfelt or just plain funny blog posts people used to write. Thanks so much for writing and sharing over the years. It has been immensely appreciated and enjoyed. xoxo

Dear Linda, I have been reading a long time. I read you are going through stuff..can I extend some words to you? A couple years ago I did this weekend-long workshop called Personal Power and Prosperity (or P3.) It was a lot, but very healing. Anger work, seventy people in the group, support- my favorite words “How would you like to be supported?” How simple isn’t it? But says enough. Ask and receive. I apologize if I’m prying but I hope the very best for you and your family.

Hi Linda, My daughter and I have been following you off and on for years. I came across your site when she was pregnant with my now 10 yr old grandson and she was going to have a 3D ultrasound. We came across yours of Riley. Though I’ve not checked on you in a while, I’ve always thought fondly of you and your family. Take care of yourself and those little ones. God Bless.

I’m not mad at you at all, keeping a website running in this day is way too much effort. It is much easier to make a Facebook and Instagram account. Half the work is already done for you. The down side though is that you really cannot manage who come on it and comments. I have discovered that people are way more negative online then they are in person but for some reason it’s so much worse on Facebook. Maybe it’s because you attract negative people on social media in general, but through blogging on your own website you can monitor who you allow commenting and block people who you think are negative or inappropriate for you page.
