I realize this video doesn’t exactly portray my child as his usual charming self, but he’d just woken up from a nap in the car and hooboy was he in a rotten mood at the dinner table. So JB busted out the camera and we all pestered the living shit out of him, because that’s what family is for.
I enjoyed that way more than I probably should have. Theo does the multiple “No no no no no NO!” too. I guess it’s a three year old thing. Ha!
(I love his little voice)
That was an awesome video….absolutely priceless! Thanks for sharing!!
funniest video ever! we’ve had similar convos at the dinner table with our caleb. hahah!
That is my almost-three year old niece EXACTLY. Although she would have started yelling midway through.
ha.. love how riley gets right into it.
I have one just like that at home. When he gets into one of his ‘No’ moods, I always ask him, “Is No the only word you know?” but unluckily for me he’s smart enough to not say *no* !
LOVE it. And I love how Riley is right in there. Ah, the oldest child.
:)
Ohhhh this made me laugh.
Me thinks this will be the next “viral” (gawd, I hate that word) video on You Tube.
That was a thousand percent awesome!! Thanks for sharing!
That was awesome! But I can relate, I’ve had days like that!
OMG! Can I share that on Facebook??!!
I loved the 1)I’m NOT happy – right before JB reminds him he pooped on the toilet!! and 2) the “Not I do-unt” which appears to be a combination of didn’t and don’t.
Priceless.
Love it! :) I used to do that with my nieces – I call it poking the bear. They’d get so irate!
Three years old, defined. Hilarious.
That is too cute. I can tell you that that defiance only gets more intense… well, at least in girls!
All questions asked to me at work today will receive the following response:
Nooooo! No I didn’t!!!!
Thank you for posting this video. It made my morning.
Love it!
Best part of the whole video is when your husband says “say bye bye” and he just glares at the camera. Priceless!
I think he kind of liked the idea of having jumped over the roof. His eyes flickered like maybe that one wasn’t going to be a no. Filed away for a later date when no one is around I think :-)
Ha! Even cranky, he’s still adorable.
gawd, he’s cute. *pinches his crabby little cheek*
This is why I want to have kids. This video. That’s why.
Omigod that’s awesome and I would so do that.
Haha, don’t take offense, but I almost thought he was going to flip off the camera when JB said “Say bye, bye D.” Ahh, that’s what family is for. Torture and therapy 20 years later. :P
OMG he is so cute!
I love how he sits patiently waiting for each person to announce the next item he’s going to shoot down. HAHAHAHA.
Christ on a cracker, that’s hilarious.
Oh – crankypants little D! That was funny. I do that to my 2.5 year old too. It makes me laugh every time.
I got some very sad news this morning, and watching this video put a huge smile on my face, so thank you. :)
I love hearing Riley get in on the action!
I loved this video! Wait. No, no I didn’t.
I have taken depositions that went exactly like that.
My niece did this last year in almost the same scenario: she’d woken up from a nap in the car and her dad was calling her various pet names, such as “my little princess,” “my angel,” “my sweet pookums,” and other nonsense, and she kept denying it, getting louder and louder until she screeched at the top of her lungs, “I’M NOBODY’S NOTHING!” That is now the family catchphrase for “I’m in a bad mood, leave me alone!”
If that’s grumpy, I’ll take it. My dear 3-year-old has taken to throwing rocks and dirt when he’s feeling foul.
I would have been equally outraged to be accused of eating all my lunch. Or waffles! As IF.
(He is SO CUTE, even whilst grouchy.)
Oh man – mine are grown but this makes me ache for grandbabies.
Adorable despite being so contrary.
OMG, too funny! And be sure to watch it in another 10 years when he’s 13 and it will seem even more funny. :) We’ve been on a kick lately watching home movies from the toddler years with our now 9 & 13 year olds. Good stuff. :) My anxiety boy (that I commented about in response to your last post) is now seeing the humor in his constant “that’s dangerous!” and “that’s scary” and “that’s too loud!” chatter from those days.
I love the glare at the end. You know he was cursing his Father out in his head. :)
jb has the most delicious voice.
Didnent.
Dang, that’s funny.
Thank you so much. My three year old also insists, when he’s in a bad mood, that he didn’t have fun, didn’t do the things he did, etc. I think I’ve been taking it way too personally – your video helps me see that this is a three year old thing!
“No I did-nit.” Oh, it kills me! Also, if that is a “bad mood”?? You are getting off easy. My daughter would have been throwing those nuggets and going boneless from about 10 seconds in.
I am having a crappy day today and just watched this again to make myself feel better. It worked! Totally made me laugh again – so stinking funny!
Someone should totally count those “no’s!” I am almost certain that there’s some kind of world record in there.
I was having a really crap day and this totally put a smile on my face! Love how his big brother gets right into it! Perfect video to play at his wedding!
I’m so glad that we aren’t the only family who does this. Also, no I did nit. Love!
Oh, you have no idea how much better I feel about my life knowing I’m not the only one with one of those:)
i have never wanted to have children, but THAT makes me want to ……just so i can have a similar video to use as “torture.” ha :-) sweet and beautiful and sadistic all at once. thank you for being a beacon of light and for so many!
