I have no idea how I’m expected to keep it a secret for ONE SECOND LONGER that I am pregnant. Seriously. My god, I’m not a machine, people! I can’t possibly wait for weeks on end in order to hit some “it’s okay to tell” milestone because I have to tell you right this goddamned minute or I am going to EXPLODE.
There. Whew. That’s better.
You know what’s kind of funny, in a ‘boy, I sure am a dumbass’ kind of way? I was actually pregnant when I wrote this entry. I mean, barely pregnant, but still. Next up: hubris-filled entries about having—just now!—officially dropped the extra pounds, complete with photos to document my shrinkage! Ha ha haaaaa! Hot damn, my comedic timing knows no limits.
At least one internet calculator thingie predicts a Valentine’s Day due date, so that’s the general timeframe. I’m about seven weeks along. Morning sickness is a much bigger issue this time around, for some mysterious and sucktastic reason. My pants already feel too clingy in the waistline. Yesterday I crumbled graham crackers into a glass of milk and drank the resulting sludge, and it was SO. DAMN. GOOD.
(Yes, I realize the last two items may have something to do with one another.)
Anyway, that’s my news. I have been ridiculously excited to tell you.

I didn’t read all 265 comments so this has probably been mentioned but morning sickness is typically much worse in girl pregnancies. I have five children and the only one where I didn’t have the morning sickness was my one son :)

Woot! You have way more discretion than me. I am so happy for you! This explains why Riley’s been working on his war face and you’ve been toughening him up Full Metal Jacket style. I love watching the interaction between my sons, even last night when they were in the tub together doing an excellent imitation of a crocodile and water buffalo locked in a life-or-death struggle. At least they thought it was fun. They are in their teens. (Kidding! toddlers!) Ah, boys!
Right on my preggers friend. That is the shit. Give JB a high five for having ninja sperm that snuck up on you and karate chopped your uterus with no warning. I really did enjoy the irony of that other blog you linked to. Good stuff. And you go ahead and eat your disgusting graham-milk sludge crap, because you are now a glorified apartment in the great miracle of life, and you deserve whatever kind of gross shite you happen to be craving at the time. Way to make a baby! Mad props.
Congrats! And god help you! And I mean that in the nicest way possible. Well, the nicest way that I can after spending a day hearing one kid call another “you little fucker” (Um, note to self: work on potty mouth), and another drop trou and pee on his own toys.
I know I’m about the three millionth comment, but congratulations to you! Having birthed 4 of the little suckers myself, I know how excited you are. There is nothing like a baby and nothing like a child of your own. Also, you can SO love the second just as much as the first (and the 3rd and 4th, for that matter). Sorry, that was just one of my worries the second time around.
I hope the morning sickness subsides.
Oh enjoy every moment of your wonderfully pregnant gestitating capsule and every extra morsel of food that you get to inhale…er…um, I mean, eat for the baby.
