Dog would like to know what you’re doing this weekend.

2329060889_43e8d12cc3.jpg

How can you refuse? YOU MUST OBEY THE SNOUT.

Me, I will be doing much of the same, but plan to escape the house at some point for a facial. And not the “protein mask” my husband likes to gleefully offer whenever I speak of such things, but the expensive spa variety where I get to lie back and enjoy a (hopefully) poop-free environment for an hour or so. CAN’T. WAIT.

Tell me what you’ve got in the works, okay? Or the snout will touch you.

PS. Is anyone planning to go to BlogHer this year? I might be attending for business reasons and I am wondering whose pantlegs I can nervously cling to.

Saturday morning I’m heading out wedding dress shopping with my mom and my sister. Hope I find the one!

I will be working on a Lit Review for my grad studies program while listening to the sound of my bathroom being demolished. Now tell me, would you rather be living in the middle of a construction zone or jumping up to restart the swing music? Think on that one for a while!

that is the cutest snout ever! I will be doing very exciting things such as bathing our two fur kids, helping our non-fur kids make something creative for grandma’s birthday and sneaking away on saturday night, with grandma, to play Bunco with a bunch of crazy women and free flowing margaritas! Not a blogger, just a lurker of your site, so I cannot offer my pant leg…sorry!

SNOOOOUT!

Good for you! Enjoy your spa day!

I am having a BBQ at my teeny tiny apartment and we shall smoke ribs and play boards games and harass the dog and it’s gonna be awesome.

“Protein mask”. LMAO.

But seriously, your husband must NEVER talk to mine.

Let’s see. I have to remember to buy toothpaste. Then I plan to sit around in a funk, saying “NOTHING!” whenever anyone asks me what’s wrong.

I LOVE that photo.

Tonight: BYOB Thai restaurant with husband, whom I never see because he’s a CPA and it’s tax season. I’d call it date night, but that’s a trifle cheesy.

Tomorrow: Freelance editing, lounging, running, going to St. Patty’s Day-themed open house at a friend’s (they bought a townhouse! with two floors! I live in the city, so a home with two stories is a big deal).

Sunday: Church (liberal Episcopal brand; haven’t been in like three weeks), lounging, running, grocery shopping, dutiful weekly call to parents, watching John Adams on HBO. And it’s all going to fly by, I’m sure.

p.s. JB’s humor amuses me to no end.

Waiting, waiting and more waiting for the fetus to become a baby. Also, some yoga, dinner with a long lost friend and possibly some cleaning of the bathroom. But mostly waiting for the kid to make a move.

Only for Dog, because I love Dog.

I’m meeting up with an out of town friend to (probably) adopt his cat who has made his face miserable. Perhaps some Indian buffet, if there’s time, and then a whole lotta NetFlix.

And homework. Lots of it.

Have a nice, relaxing time at the spa!

Our 6 month old Great Dane is starting an agility class tomorrow. In the afternoon we’re going to Chuck E Cheese to see some friends who are in town – they have small children and thought it would be a good idea to keep the kids busy. I’m considering wearing earplugs.

Sunday…I think I’m cooking something and cleaning house. I’ve gotten rather behind, and it will be satisfying.

theater tonight, then late night dancing surrounded bad indie haircuts and ironic t-shirts. at least the music is good…

tomorrow and sunday are a huge heap of nothing— bloody marys? running? or just reading? it’s gonna be a good one.

Well, Dog, this weekend I plan to spend almost entirely with my new dog. She’s wonderful. I think you two would get along very well. But there will be a few hours on Saturday evening when I’m going to see “The Other Boleyn Girl” with a human friend of mine.

Sundry – Wish I was going to BlogHer because I would gladly offer up my pant leg as long as you let me cling to yours as well. I’m too new to this blog thing though to venture into that, yet.

I kinda want to be touched by the snout. But anyway…

Its already Saturday here. Last night I went to a dinner with my Mum, for a 40 year Folded Wings (ex Air New Zealand flight attendants) reunion. Got vaguely drunk and was home by 10.30, spent most of the night dealing with women who were glaring at me and the other 2 people my age there, including one particularly drunk lady who made no secret of being pissed that we were there. Which was kinda funny, I like dealing with stupid drunk people.

Tonight I’m going to a friend’s house to watch the latest Lost…then tomorrow, bed and clothes shopping for my boyfriend.

Well, we were going to look for a new domicile, but the agent doesn’t want to show us anything until we get our loan approval next week. So instead we are going to see Doomsday, because there is nothing I like better than a cheerful post-apocalyptic horror movie. Except maybe the same in book form.

I was thinking of going to Blogher but it also gives me the nervous tummy…it sounded so cliquey last year.
Tonight I will be cleaning the house in anticipation of my parents coming to visit on Saturday. Sigh. At the very least I think I may get some McNuggets out of the deal, so there is that.

I’m going to Canadian Tire. Woo. The in-laws are in town, so we’re taking advantage of the fact that they have a car.

Tomorrow, I’m going to a radio taping, and then it’s Packapalooza 2008– My husband and I are moving into our new home next week, and it looks like we haven’t packed a damn thing.

We’re having our usual Friday night of Netflix and ordered-in Thai food. Tomorrow, I am going to spend a couple of quality hours at the gym and possibly putter about some stores in search of jeans that do not give me Saggy Ass. We have zero Saturday night plans because my husband will be working all weekend on a brief (hey, just like last weekend! the poor guy).

Sunday I’ll go to church and wave palms around (like Amy, I somehow feel compelled to note that it’s a very cool, liberal Episcopalian scene). Since there happens to be a DSW AND a discount bookstore AND an Anthropologie right near church, perhaps I will do some shoppies after that as well. (This is highly unusual, as I loathe shopping of any kind; I think the absence of any plans + the promise of a season change is giving me some kind of fever).

That’s pretty much it. I may work on some of my writing projects as well. And nap.

(And dude, we have no kids yet. I think we are the rare couple for whom having a kid will make us MORE exciting.)

gawd, are all men alike!? my husband (when I tell him that I am needing extra protein) will always offer to insert some into my belly. gah. men.

my plans: hold your breath now. get ready for a garage sale next weekend. clean poopy asses. get protein shakes from my husband. (bwahaha) clean the house. laundry. watch movies. read books. read trashy magazines. refresh on your page constantly hoping for another update.

trust me – i promise you – soon enough you’ll be grateful you had two boys. (mine are a year and a half apart and the baby will be 1 next month – the eldest 3 in Oct.) there are still days that i hate myself and my life, but it gets easier, in some way.

are you going to try for a girl, or are you done with this poopy pants waking up all hours of the night bullshit like i am?

I was supposed to go to a visition tonight; a member of our church died and I actually kind of sort of know his wife. I can’t, of course, because Hubby is working late. Story of my life. Saturday I’m going to a day camp with my Tiger den and Sunday The Captain will be singing with the Youth Choir for Palm Sunday. After than we’ll watch him gleefully play a game of soccer, then we’ll watch Jr woefully work his way through his game. He’s lost his love for the sport and we’re trying to find reasons for him to complete the season. If he can’t pull it together by the end of the month we’re pulling him out.

Wow, was that too much? Sorry. Enjoy your spa experience.

Depending on how ambitious we’re feeling, we’ve been invited to a pub crawl around the capital’s best bars on Saturday, which sounds intoxicatingly fun (bad pun intended). Sunday promises to be more low key, as my man has to work ::snicker:: and I’ll be laying low in jammies and watching NASCAR. I’m officially on break from work so I may or may not feel ambitious enough to clean up around here and maybe (not) finish putting up wallpaper in the kitchen. Big fun, eh?

Well Dog, I think I’m back on dog-walking duty at my house, four weeks after hip surgery. Which is good, except that it’s raining again here in the PNW (you’ve noticed, I’m sure). I thought maybe rain would be bad for my hip, but I couldn’t get the PT to buy in on that one. Maybe I can convince my husband, tho … Other than that, lots of Netflix’d Heroes, Slings & Arrows, and a Pagliacci pizza. Mmmmm :)

Well, thanks to that picture, I’m going to miss my very OWN dog’s snout more than usual as I’m 1/3 of the way through a 3+ month trip. And flying out of England on my way to the UAE (my life is hard… very hard!).

Saturday afternoon I’ll be running up to my parents’ house and working on a stained glass window I’m building for my dining room. It’s the first time my mother has let me design and assemble my own window on anything more than “apprenticeship” level. Will be cool, I promise to send pics.
Then on sunday I’m going to a bridal show.
In addition, I plan on sleeping the hell in both days and studying up on Pivot Tables for my new job! YAY!

My husband comes home tomorrow after being gone for nearly 3 months!!! YAY!!

You don’t really want to know what I’m doing this weekend (heh).

I won’t be driving anywhere or buying anything, though, as my wallet was lost (and probably stolen) today. : (

Oh, and my youngest son totally says hi to Dog. He saw the picture and started barking. I want to kiss the snout, and I don’t even like dogs.

Okay, back to counting down the hours until Hubby comes home!

I’ve been itching to do “something” with my closet, it needs more shelves and containers and order, so I think I’ll make a trip down to IKEA, maybe even get to my favorite place on earth, The Container Store.

Tomorrow night is a game night/birthday party, and Sunday is cooking for our church’s worship band.

And, if things get really crazy, there will be crafting. Woo!

Holy crap, today is Steak and a Blowjob Day. I wonder if my husband knows this?

He’s going to work, I’m going to a work thing Saturday afternoon that is the correct political choice to attend, but SUCKS BIG BALLS because it’s on my own time, then I’m off to the adults’ party celebrating a certain little kid’s birthday (make sense? me either) Saturday night. Which will be fun, even though it sounds weird.

And I need to clean. And do laundry. And maybe make something fab for dinner Sunday night?

If the weather is nice, bringing the girls to the town Easter egg hunt tomorrow, then wrestling our two pigs into the truck and moving them into their summer digs – an electric fence that moves around to diff. gardens I want them to dig up, egg delivery to the ice cream shop, and lots o’ sewing since I’ll have E around to hold the baby.

Oh, the snoot, the snoot! I love those doleful looks that only dogs can give. Having just returned from Vegas after a three-day stay for work, my feet are killing me, my back is on strike and my eyes are bloodshot from the casino air. I can safely say that I will be sleeping by 8pm tonight. Tomorrow I will count the $2300 jackpot I won on nickel slots. Oh, yeah, baby! Am then taking the hub to a lobster dinner as he’s been lonely and has done dog-duty solo for four nights and three days now.

BlogHer: it’s right down the street from where I’m sitting at this very moment, so I really have little excuse NOT to go this year. This merits some contemplation. I don’t know anyone who’s going, so I offer my pant leg if you are offering yours in return.

This weekend: Dad, brother and sister-in-law are all celebrating their birthdays, and they’re all slow to cough up present hints. So tomorrow, at least, will be shopping, then family dinner.

Janssen

I’ll be doing the homework I ignored over spring break and maybe doing some shopping. Perhaps watch a movie. And tomorrow night my husband and I are going to dinner at some friends. So, a balanced weekend, I guess, even though what I really want is an unbalanced weekend of all fun and relaxation.

Moose

My weekend is totally free, a blessed state of events that will find me whipping the house into order (slothing on the couch), reading improving hardbacks (watching Lost), and eating nutritious homemade soup (Doritos).

I will be at BlogHer. If I see you, I’ll come say hello and make an eloquent yet pithy statement about how much I enjoy your blog (hide and/or say something ridiculously inept).

Tomorrow morning, getting coffee and breakfast somewhere with wifi so I can play with my new toy.

Saturday, laundry, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning the cat hair off every surface of my apartment, and at least some green beer in the evening.

Sunday, trying in earnest to run…I’m not much of a runner, but I’m hoping to do a 10K this summer (80% for my own sense of accomplishment, 11% for self-improvement, 9% to impress a guy).

If I see this picture one more time, my heart will explode. I love Dog and want to nuzzle her snouty goodness! Funny how there is never enough Dog but *just* the right amount of Cat.

So! This weekend! Tonight the Walrus and I are staying in eating burritos and watching movies. I will likely shout at him AT LEAST twice for leaving his underpants in the hallway or not rinsing off his plate before putting it in the sink. Please don’t tell anyone how we live!

Tomorrow I am riding ON A FLOAT in the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade – I get to toss beads and candy to the commoners while pretending to be all regal and queenly and shit.

On Sunday I will be up at the ass crack of dawn working the Junior League of Atlanta’s annual 10k race. I will likely spend the period after the race in a champagney haze before I pass out from sheer exhaustion.
