Do you believe in positive thought? I don’t know if I do. And if I do, I believe that it should be reserved for people who really need it. Me, I don’t fall into that category.

But here’s what I want to say anyway: I want something unlikely to happen. I want a series of events to take place, events I have little control over. I’m working very hard, but so much of it is up to chance. Our future has never looked so uncertain, in so many ways.

I am closing my eyes and clicking my heels. From here to there. Oh please.

If you’re the wishing sort, wish me luck. For now all I can tell you is that I am shooting for the goddamned stars.

It appears that the house you’d never seen at the end of that driveway is TOTALLY worth all the good thoughts and positive energy you’ve been sending its way. I’ll add mine into the mix, along with everyone who commented above me.

The universe can’t ignore us ALL, right? ;) Good luck.

that house gave me goosebumps. I hope to god you get it, if that is what you are wishing for. good for you for wanting something unlikely, too many people (myself included) get stuck in the rut of life and never take changes.

I am a serial lurker also, and like the stalker that I am, a facebook friend as well. I just looked at the listing that you posted there, this place is gorgeous. And isn’t now the perfect time to move, when your kids aren’t completely enmeshed in school and friends?

Have you talked to a real estate agent about it yet?

God, what an amazing house. I guess it would be pointless if I started wishing for it for ME instead of you?

I’ll have my fingers crossed and pretzled from now until this series of events starts falling into place. Good luck, good luck, good luck!

You know, if you don’t shoot for those stars, it’s pretty damn certain you ain’t gonna reach them.

I am a firm believer in “If it’s right, it will happen.” If you are meant to have this house, all the tumblers will click into place and the door will swing open. If you don’t get it, that’s only because there is something better further down the road. Keeping my fingers crossed for you here in Florida.

as my friend says, “Prayers sent up”. Write it down all of it, every last detail on paper, include how hard you need and deserve and are wishing. Words are powerful and you don’t need to write it here, but write it down somewhere with a passion.

All of the very best of luck to you. I don’t know many people who’ve worked so hard to obtain what they want as you seem to have done over the years I’ve been reading your blog.I look forward to reading for many more years to come – hopefully with pictures of stunning vistas to drool over in envy.
The only thing I’ll say is that that house better have internet access!

Good luck! Even if you don’t get this exact house, I believe if you put your formidable will, determination, and talent to work, you will find yourself where you want to be within a year. I’ve found that even when things don’t work out exactly as I planned they end up somewhere I couldn’t have dreamed. You’ll do it, I know.

Oh, Sundry. Count me in as another person putting energy toward positive thinking on your behalf. This place is BEAUTIFUL.

Not to get all woowoo on you, but the good thing about positive thought is that it doesn’t need to be “reserved” for “people who really need it”. It’s an inexhaustible resource. There’s more than enough to go around.

So think good thoughts, we will all do the same, and ROCK IT GIRL. We’re all pulling for you! You can do it!!

Hey Linda, my Mom’s surgery went fine. She actually retired from this hospital after 40 years of nursing. She’s friends with the ‘infection control’ director. There’s a keyboard in every effing patient room. Should I put in a plug for JB’s product when I see her???

It’s reliving.. maybe I’m not so crazy in my dream to save for a home that I’ll love one day. I’m still young, single, but I want that I’ll love.

The best of luck. Make your dream come true and inspire others, myself included, to make our dreams come true as well!

Right on about the power of positive thought. We recently made this plunge from city living to country living in order for our kids to be in a better school district. That led me to a 60 mile round trip commute–but on country roads it’s SO much different than being stuck in gridlock that I actually ENJOY the quiet time, it’s sometimes the only bit I get. We are surviving on one income right now (temporarily–hopefully) but it’s a scary, scary thing to give up what you thought held security for a little bit of peace–and it IS peaceful. Of course our place isn’t nearly this nice but it’s working and the sacrifices will be worth it. They have to be, right? Good luck!

EPIC software is the “go to” company for EHR. They have third party complementary vendors that could be a good hook up for the keyboard venture.

Every day I listen to a meditation (search for Andrew Johnson or brainfreqz–they’re iPhone apps) that guides me through visualizing the stuff I want to bring about: My ideal physical health, ideal professional life, ideal inner life/creative life, and ideal home life. I have my dream house all laid out in my own head. I dream up a lovely image of all of it, then I repeat that this or something better is coming to me now. And I send out a little message that I’m open to doing whatever work I need to do on my end, and ask for clarity to know what to do when, etc. It hasn’t all magically fallen into place yet, but a) it (or something better) is gonna get here, I tell you. And b) it feels pretty awesome to replace all the thoughts of woe, and picturing crappy things happening and worry with images of me grilling out in my own awesome back yard with my awesome friends chatting about my awesome job, financial stability and book deal. Try it and see, sistah. Now I send good mojo your way too,

I don’t “believe” in astrology, but somehow this dude Rob Breszny, http://www.freewillastrology.com helps. This one’s yours:

My friend Erica went to a Chinese herbalist, seeking help for a skin problem that hadn’t been healed by six other doctors. “Very rare condition,” the herbalist told her. There was only one thing he knew that would work: Erica would have to travel to the Ruoergai Marshes in Sichuan Province, China and track down a White-tailed Eagle, whose fresh droppings she would gather up and apply to the affected areas of her skin. As the prospect of such a pilgrimage was daunting, Erica decided instead to simply imagine herself carrying it out. After a week of such meditations, her skin had improved. In 21 days, she wasn’t completely cured, but she was much better. The moral of the story, Pisces: Simply visualizing a heroic healing quest may help fix your glitch.

You will most certainly have my most positive thoughts, wishes and prayers headed your way. I want this for you — I don’t know you personally, but by way of your blog I consider you a friend of sorts. Your writing about parenting has been so helpful and comforting to me as I prepared for and embarked on the wild ride myself (1st baby, a boy, born in April). Even when I was first home with the baby and didn’t have time to even read here, I thought of you and your adventures in parenting, and it was somehow a little easier and less lonely. Thank you. And GOOD LUCK!!
