A few photos from the weekend:
Much more here.
(Not pictured: amazing Tom Douglas meals, side-crampingly hilarious Hot Fuzz viewing, slothful bed lolling, and non-toddler-oriented conversation. Such a fan-freaking-tastic weekend.)
Congrats on getting a weekend off. Sounds like you guys made the most of it. I am officially envious.
Looks like you had a amazing weekend, I’m jealous!
I love the picture of the people running through the water! It seems like that one ought to go to someone’s publicity department for use in brochures or something.
A weekend away keeps you sane.
I’ve been in Seattle once (a week in August when it was sunny and 70 degrees every single day–so my perspective on the weather is a bit warped), and sometimes I think we ought to move there. Then I get over it and realize that moving home to the bay area to be nearer our families is the right thing to do. Then I see pictures like these and think, “But Seattle is so perfect! And we could afford a house! And we’d be closer to family than we are now!” What I’m saying here is that I’m extremely envious of your weekend. It looks like it was perfect.
Sounds like a perfect weekend to me. Glad you guys had a good time!
Fantastic.
By the way, it totally looks like JB is grabbing his butt.
Glad you had fun, although it’s somewhat disappointing that a weekend of great weather didn’t quite materialize. And do tell – did the Boy behave like a perfect little angel for his grandparents?
You take such amazing pictures. You have a great eye. I love looking at all of the pictures you take.
And I’m jealous of your weekend away! We have 4 kids and that would be such a treat. :o) But so happy for your lovely time. I’m glad you enjoyed it so much.
God, I love our city.
These photos are just gorgeous! I’m so glad you and JB were able to have a little getaway weekend. Those little trips are good for the soul.
Beautiful photos – you have a great eye for color. So glad to hear it was a good weekend!
Lovely photos – and I am glad you fully enjoyed your adult weekend. (Wow, adult weekend sounds kind of porny. I didn’t mean ‘your porny weekend’…well, I mean, it’s okay if it was but…oh, never mind.)
And you feel so much better for the “toddler-free” weekend!
So, when is the next one?
Your weekend looks amazing and your photos make me want to be in Seattle right now instead of having to wait until September.
“Slothful bed lolling”
Oh, I love that.
You’re killing me in the long sleeves! It hit 90 yesterday and much, much spf 50 was required. Hope the weekend was fabulous.
Just the phrase “bed lolling” was enough to send me into an envy sprial. So good to have a squeezy week-end – glad yours was good, now must start planning mine….
I can tell you must have been having fun, because every picture JB is in, he’s slumping about like some sort of casual Billy-bad-ass gangster. Also, you said it was fantastic. I prefer my photo sleuthing approach better though.
We hit four out of five Tom Douglas restaurants this weekend – Palace Kitchen (late night), Serious Pie, Dahlia (coconut cream pie) and Lola’s for breakfast. The latter was probably one of the best meals of the weekend and they will soon consider me a regular on Sundays.
I was a total Seattle tourist as well this weekend and I live in downtown Seattle. The Market, Seattle Center, EMP, monorail, ferries, arboreteum, UW, you name it. I would rather be a tourist here than any other city in the country.
Great pictures – glad you had a good time.
Wasn’t Hot Fuzz AWESOME? I went to see it in the theatre once. And I downloaded the soundtrack. Oh — you should definitely get it and put some on your running playlist. It’s extra awesome b/c clips from the movie are worked in. Blockbuster and Goody Two Shoes are my favourites!
Danny let’s rock!
I love that you look so thrilled and JB is like “meh, whatever”.
