I love those photos! I like Riley’s “form” in the first photos compared to Dylan’s spread legs and arms. :0) But the 4th picture is my favorite – I love Dylan’s face!
I demand to know what kind of camera you are using so I can ask Santa for it. Those shots are so great.

These are great photos! I totally remember fooling around like this with my Dad when I was little. Some of my best childhood memories are goofy moments like this.

This makes me feel like maybe some day I could actually have boys, and survive the experience. :) Great pics!
What lighting were you using?!? My house is so dim/yellow at night I couldn’t get a sharp picture of my couch, much less flying child OVER couch!

Hey, for those who asked, it’s a Nikon D70 with a speedlight flash aimed at the ceiling.

…how did I miss your YELLOW NOTE above?! thanks!!!!
Every time I read your blog I am blown away by how CLEAN everything looks. I have two small children and there is simply crap EVERYWHERE. I don’t even remember what a clear surface looks like. And we have dust bunnies the size of jackelopes. How do you do it?

So you have a cool camera but so do I (Nikon D5000) and I don’t take pictures anywhere *near* as good as you. I feel so inadequate, especially since I took a lot of photography in college… granted that was a little while ago and really before digital cameras were being used… OK, I’m going to shut up now because I’m just starting to feel worse about myself.
love your holiday letter – that is totally the way to go with those.

Those are just the BEST pictures! How awesome! That fourth one HAS to be entered into a contest – it would be a sure winner.

Ha! Came from a big family and this is *precisely* the types of shenanigans we would get up to. Great pics. Happy holidays and thanks for the laughs and the great writing. Cause I’m a writer and I wince in pain at the effortless pizzaz you throw into your writing like so many chocolate sprinkles. Gold plated, 24-carrot freakin chocolate sprinkles :)
Me and my friends still play this game, we just call it “blind pick-axe-catch”. The management turns a blind eye towards our probable work-intoxication in exchange for our ambivalence about their cancelling raises, bonuses, and pending next week, our pay.
