Did anyone who worked on this promo realize it looks exactly like one of those “Footprints in the Sand” Jesus images people post on Facebook?
Why is everyone always peeking through windows at night without turning off the goddamned lights first? Dude, 1) you’re basically looking at your own reflection, and 2) you’re perfectly illuminated to anything outside.
Why does this guy think he’s Johnny Depp from Benny and Joon?
The HELL kind of backyard is this?
Why is Travis’s face so … off? I feel like he looks like the results of someone trying to build Clive Owen out of Mr. Potato pieces.
Speaking of Travis. I’m willing to cut him some slack on being, essentially, the least useful character on the show, but did he seriously just drag the trash out to the curb during the apocalypse?

yes. Yes. YES!!!!! To everything you just said. I couldn’t stop screaming, “Turn your flashlights off, you dildos!!” And that backyard??? What was that??? I love how they were like, “La la la, let’s take our stroll through the neighbor’s MAZE OF DOOM.”
Oh. God. Yes. I tell myself the live in an alternate universe where the horror movie genre was never discovered. Also I feel like Travis has completely changed character. First he was on board and believed Nick and wanted to run and seemed like he’d be good. Then he’s all no let’s wait everything is fine let me take out the trash. What the hell?
I watched Sunday night’s show and just kept saying “Is EVERYONE stupid?!”
Hey the guy next door just ate the lady across the street, let me leave the door open as he walks toward our house.
I laughed out loud too. I miss your recaps a lot. The trash thing was ridiculous and more ridiculous was the other guy was taking his trash out too! I cannot unsee Benny and Joon in that kid now. I’ll be expecting him to make potatoes dance in the next episode. They filmed it on my side of town in L.A. and yes there are crazy looking backyards and front yards like that around here. The show is terrible and there’s no one worth rooting for, but what else are we going to do until October 11th?

I also loved and miss your Walking Dead recaps. And this is exactly why. :) I was yelling “Stop shining the flash light out the window! What does that even do?” at them the other night. My husband is 100% with you on the Johnny Depp resemblance.
The biggest question/make-me-go-mental thing of the whole show so far is WHYTHEEVERLINGEFF didn’t that friggin kid take a shower and change those goddamn old man clothes he stole from the hospital. He had PLEEEENTY of time to get that shit done before the neighbor started eating people and dogs and whatnot. I just don’t think I can stomach looking at that hair and those clothes for another episode.Ugh.

Big fan of your old WD recaps! We’re watching this, too, and I also yelled at the TV when they kept shining lights out there.
HOWEVER, I’m trying to tell myself they are NEW to this. This ain’t Rick and Daryl. They only think their neighbors are sick – and hey maybe they can reason with them! And honestly, I could totally see that happening IRL. Like, your first instinct (well, maybe OURS would be because we watch the show) wouldn’t be, “Oh, they’re zombies now.”
As for the neighbor with the garbage can, I turned to my husband and said, “It’s crazy to think that this is so early on in the situation, he could’ve possible just SLEPT through the entire thing last night! And just thinks it’s garbage day!”
Also, this show scares me a little MORE because of the riots. Because those have actually happened in the last year IRL and people are so dumb and animalistic and destructive. I could see all that really happening and, oy.
But in the end, most of the characters annoy me. I know they already got picked up for another season, but really I’m just biding time until Rick is back.

I’ve never even seen promos for the show, I just had to comment that the Clive Owen/Mr. Potatohead comment was THE.FUNNIEST.THING i’ve read in… forever. So glad to see you here again occasionally. :)
Benny and Joon…YES. Gets on my nerves. And I’m always shouting YOU DON’T HAVE A WEAPON YOU NEED A WEAPON when they go outside. This show is okay, I’m trying to stick with it until TWD starts back up. Love your recap!
How about when Salazar shoots the neighbor attacking Travis in the head and he says something like, “Well why’d you have to go and do that?” Um, because he was going to eat your BRAINS.
I also am trying to pretend they live in a world with no Zombie/Vampire legends but seriously…
