I have no idea how I’m expected to keep it a secret for ONE SECOND LONGER that I am pregnant. Seriously. My god, I’m not a machine, people! I can’t possibly wait for weeks on end in order to hit some “it’s okay to tell” milestone because I have to tell you right this goddamned minute or I am going to EXPLODE.
There. Whew. That’s better.
You know what’s kind of funny, in a ‘boy, I sure am a dumbass’ kind of way? I was actually pregnant when I wrote this entry. I mean, barely pregnant, but still. Next up: hubris-filled entries about having—just now!—officially dropped the extra pounds, complete with photos to document my shrinkage! Ha ha haaaaa! Hot damn, my comedic timing knows no limits.
At least one internet calculator thingie predicts a Valentine’s Day due date, so that’s the general timeframe. I’m about seven weeks along. Morning sickness is a much bigger issue this time around, for some mysterious and sucktastic reason. My pants already feel too clingy in the waistline. Yesterday I crumbled graham crackers into a glass of milk and drank the resulting sludge, and it was SO. DAMN. GOOD.
(Yes, I realize the last two items may have something to do with one another.)
Anyway, that’s my news. I have been ridiculously excited to tell you.
Oh, CONGRATS!!!!! Here’s to a healthy, happy pregnancy – and a healthy, happy new sibling for dear Riley!!!
eileen
Yay!yay!yay!
Congrats! Look forward to seeing the next suspicious member of the Sundry family.
Hooray!!! And re: your in-shapeness, I’ve read that the better shape you’re in, the faster you recover from childbirth. So double hooray! :D
Huzzah!!
maybe you’re having more morning sickness because this time it’s a girl? that’s what happened to my mom, anyway…
I echo it all. Congrats!!
Eleventy-million-zillion-trillion congratulations to you and yours!!!!!
YAY!!!
Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Holy crap! CONGRATULATIONS! OMG, why am I so excited? I DON’T EVEN KNOW YOU! Well, sorta. Ugh, creepy. Anyway! Horray!
Congratulations!!
Congrats!!!!
Woohoo! Congratulations Linda! Old wives tales would say you are sicker because it’s a girl. More estrogen, more morning sickness.
yay! congrats!
i used to eat graham crackers and milk as a form of cereal. hahaha.
Congratulations!! You have a lot to be happy about these days!
Yay! Congrats to you and JB!
Glad you didn’t wait one more second to tell us! I’m very excited for you, CONGRATS! I hope it’s a great 9 months for you.
Riley as a big brother! Awesome.
Woohoo! Congratulations to you and JB, and to Riley on his impending Big Brotherness!
That is fantastic news! I am so excited for you!!
Yay!! I’m sooooooo happy for you! Be insanely happy you got into shape *before*, because trust me (says she who is 38 weeks and counting), those pounds you won’t have to lose afterwards or carry around during? Freaking priceless.
aaaaaaaaahh! i’m SO happy and excited for you, linda. i actually have a big ol’ cheesy tear in my eye. congratulations!
Yay! BIG congratulations to you and JB, and Riley too of course. I’m totally excited for you guys!
HOORAY!!!! That is awesome news!!!!! I only have seven weeks to go before #2 and let me tell you, it will FLY by!!! Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it!!!!!
And definitely keep up with the workouts for as long as you can —with modifications of course. It will make you feel better and make everything easier, including losing the baby weight.
Just my two cents. Again, CONGRATS!!!!!
I had terrible morning sickness, and then discovered I was carrying…twins! hmmmmmmmm Congratulations to all of you..
I’m damn happy for you. Zofram (?) is something you might ask your doc about if the morning sickness gets too bad…but WOOT for you! May I be the 73rd person to say congrats? !!!
Alrighty then! Proud to have read your words for so long, and glad to hear this good news. Nice, Linda.
HOORAY! Congratulations!

(and yessss…just when I was getting really jealous of your flat tummy! heh! )
AWESOME!
I am so happy for you and your happy family.
We had our second baby boy (Trevor!) last week and it’s wonderful all over again. Crazy, sleepy wonderful. :)
I can’t wait to read about your second pregnancy. I enjoyed every bit of mine and already miss it.
I’m SO EXCITED for you!!! …….a total stranger. I think even more excited about your baby than I was for my cousins baby. Congratulations to your expanding family!!! Can’t wait to read more.
Congratulations! So exciting.
Much happiness to you & the growing family… YAY!
wonderful news. congrats!
Oh Congratulations! I’m so happy for you!
I simply cannot wait to read all the funny things I”m sure you will say about being pregnant while looking after a toddler, and also what you will have to say when you have two little ones at home.
Having two kids is so great. My 5 year old and 18 month old are just now starting to really enjoy playing together and it is the best thing ever. Wait until you hear Riley laugh with his little sibling for the first time. It will make all the hard work worth it.
Yay! Best wishes for a happy healthy pregnancy!
Congrats!
Yay! Awesome and all that good stuff.
Congrats! I heard on Oprah & Friends that lemons help morning sickness. It was from this cleverly titled book “Dr. Robert Greene’s Perfect Hormone Balance for Pregnancy: A Groundbreaking Plan for Having a Healthy Baby and Feeling Great”. Snappy title, eh? Anyway – congratulation – what wonderful news!
Congrats! Babies are lovely. Same thing happened to me with weight loss. When Baby #1 was about 18 months old, I lost a ton of weight, got in great shape and only got to enjoy it for .0007 seconds before I got pregnant with Baby #2. (I guess I looked really good..wink wink) Does Rielly know he is going to be a big brother? I’ll bet he looked suspicious when you told him :)
Sorry, I meant Riley. Can’t spell today!!
OMG! You’re not going to believe this, but I’m due on Valentine’s Day, too! I had been hoping one of the blogger’s I read regularly would get pregnant so I could follow them along during my own pregnancy. I hope I don’t sound like some stalker, crazy lady. Anyway, congratulations!
Yay! That’s awesome news, thanks for sharing :D
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh goody!!! We will get to read more Jimmy Leg entries! Hooray! Those were my favorite of all time!
Congratulations! That is so exciting!
Yay! Congratulations!
Congratulations! I happy for you (and even a bit envious, though we don’t have plans for another). I had morning sickness so much worse with my second. If it gets too bad, don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor. Toughing it out gets you nowhere. I’m excited to get to share your experiences again.
This is fabulous news! Congratulations!
