I have no idea how I’m expected to keep it a secret for ONE SECOND LONGER that I am pregnant. Seriously. My god, I’m not a machine, people! I can’t possibly wait for weeks on end in order to hit some “it’s okay to tell” milestone because I have to tell you right this goddamned minute or I am going to EXPLODE.
There. Whew. That’s better.
You know what’s kind of funny, in a ‘boy, I sure am a dumbass’ kind of way? I was actually pregnant when I wrote this entry. I mean, barely pregnant, but still. Next up: hubris-filled entries about having—just now!—officially dropped the extra pounds, complete with photos to document my shrinkage! Ha ha haaaaa! Hot damn, my comedic timing knows no limits.
At least one internet calculator thingie predicts a Valentine’s Day due date, so that’s the general timeframe. I’m about seven weeks along. Morning sickness is a much bigger issue this time around, for some mysterious and sucktastic reason. My pants already feel too clingy in the waistline. Yesterday I crumbled graham crackers into a glass of milk and drank the resulting sludge, and it was SO. DAMN. GOOD.
(Yes, I realize the last two items may have something to do with one another.)
Anyway, that’s my news. I have been ridiculously excited to tell you.
Wewt!
CONGRATULATIONS LINDA, JB and RILEY!
I hope you have a wonderful, happy and healthy pregnancy :-)
All the best.
I’ll add another to the list: Congratulations!!
Oh my gosh! Congrats!
Congratulations!!
A hearty Mazel Tov to you!!!!!! Very exciting stuff! I am curious to know (when you decide) if you’ll go VBAC or a scheduled C-section. Best wishes!
[…] Edited to add: And oh yeah, this. Because naturally everyone’s pregnant but me. No seriously, Congrats, Linda! Posted by Madame Pocklock | […]
hella!!!
Lucky you! Congrats! WAHHOOO!
Great news! I’m so happy for you!
Mazel tov!
OH YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually squealed when I read your post! I’m so excited for you and your family!
My morning sickness was not bad with either of my pregnancies, but was a little worse with the second (a girl). I will say this though, the second pregnancy totally flew by. When I was pregnant with Payton, I had plenty of time to obsess about the New Baby. But when I was pregnant with Tori, Payton took up all of my obsession time. Also, be very glad that you don’t have to suffer pregnancy through the summer again! Congratulations!!!
I can’t tell you how thrilled I am for you. Best, best, BEST of luck with everything. We just had our second baby in two years…it’s awsome.
Congratulations!
Phew just scrolled all the long way down to say – Congrats!
OMG congratulations!!!!
Ah, but now you have a super smokin hot bod, it’ll be easier to keep it that way, and easier to get back to it, now that you know what to do!
You can still work out/jog when preggo.
Seriously, my jaw just hit the desk reading that. Didn’t take you long at all, did it, oh fertile one?
Congratulations – although holey smokes, a toddler, a pregnancy and home renovation? Your plate, it is FULL.
As a Valentine’s season baby myself, I will tell you your future will be filled with tobogganing parties. Also your child will never get birthday flowers ’cause they cost a kajillion dollars. Other than those things, it’s all good.
AWW, YEAH!!!! Happy congrats to you and JB!
HOLLA! Congrats to all! Can’t wait for the next several months of hi-larious entries!
WHOO! Yay, good for you and JB! I know this is ridiculous but after reading your blog almost every day for so long, I feel a vague sort of attachment (in a non-stalker way) to you and Riley and JB, and I am SO excited to see more pregnant pics and ESPECIALLY pictures when your next baby arrives! This is awesome.
CONGRATS!!!!!! Very cool.
Wow, you kept it a secret longer than I ever have. =) With my first pregnancy, my husband was all shocked and weirded out (we WERE trying, but he thought he’d have months of wild abandon, and instead he got one good lay and then “keep your hands away from my god damn boobs or I WILL kill you”), but anyway, he made me promise not to tell ANYONE for awhile. I made it ONE day at work, and I was literally sick from not being able to tell. The next day, I spilled the beans to two of my women coworkers, then felt immediate, nearly orgasmic, relief. I called David GIDDY with relief and didn’t care that he was frustrated with me for spilling the beans.
CONGRATULATIONS! Such happy news.
Congratulations! That is so exciting.
And I’m not a mother myself, so I can’t speak from the parenting angle, but from the kid angle–my sister and I are exactly two and a half years apart (as I think Riley and the baby will be, if I’m doing my math right), and it is the perfect distance. Far enough apart to really feel like you have your own identity, but close enough to relate and bond. So I hope it works out well for your kids too!
so happy for you! Good stuff!!
How exciting!!! CONGRATS! I’m pregnant too so I will look even more forward to your new posts taking us through your baby #2 journey!
Maybe you’re more sick this time around because it’s a girl…. ;)
I am way to excited for someone who is ultimately a stranger yet I feel like I know. Congratulations! You are such a great mother and am sure number two will be as great and precious as one. Way to go to Dad too.
I feel ridiculously excited FOR you! What great news! Congratulations to the whole family… and I can’t wait to find out if Riley is “suspicious” of the new little one, or if Big Brother love takes over immediately! hee!
HOORAY! I actually jumped up out of my chair when I read this! Congrats to you and the fam!
I’m so happy for you! Congratulations! If you can handle 1, you can handle 2; it’s just more of the same.
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE! Delicious baby thighs for all!
Most stupendiferous congratulatorations are in order.
Congratulations :)
When I saw the title of this entry, I gasped out loud with excitement. My husband said, “What?” And I realized how dopey I sounded AS I was saying, “This lady I kind of know is pregnant.” He did not share my same feelings. But that does not deter me one bit – I am very excited for you!! Congratulations!
Yay for you (two)!!!! I am thrilled for you. Hope the morning sickness doesn’t last too long. Congrats!
happy dance! :) YAY!
Yeah! Congratulations!
I miss being able to eat anything and everything and not having to feel bad about it. Graham crackers in milk, yum!

WOW- congratulations! I’m sure this new one will be as cute and incredible as Riley!
YIPPEE!!!! Congrats to the Sundry fam! (ps… for morning sickness, take half a Unisom tablet and a 100mg B6. You’ll be asleep, but you’ll feel better!)
Great news. Congrats.
