First things first: this is a sponsored post. I didn’t get paid for what I’m about to share with you, but I did receive a gift certificate to purchase some clothes for my kids. Now, hopefully you know me well enough to believe that I wouldn’t recommend a business to you if I didn’t sincerely like them, but just so everything’s understood: I got some free shit. Well, the boys did. As if they appreciate it, the jelly-smearing ingrates.
So, have you heard of Tea? They seem like a very cool little company with a unique approach to children’s wear. Apparently each year their designers visit a different part of the world to find inspiration for a particular collection, so they end up creating kids’ clothes that evoke things like street graffiti in Barcelona and vintage Mexican coffee bags. In fact, everyone at Tea receives an annual allowance to use toward international travel, which is a little factoid that makes me like them even more and may or may not have caused me to eyeball their Careers page. (Damn you, lack of marketable skills!)
Tea sounds like a groovy workplace and all that, but what I really like is their clothes. I suspect parents of girls have a much easier time finding attractive outfits for their kids than I do, because I sure notice a lot of cute girl stuff when I’m poking around Target or Old Navy or wherever, but I swear that once your boy is out of the young toddler stage clothes really start to suck. Hard. I mean, okay, Riley loves all those awful merchandising tie-in shirts festooned with LEGO Star Wars Spiderman Looney Tunes Etc, and both my kids are perfectly fine with the ugly-colored sports-themed crap, but sometimes I just want to dress them in something that doesn’t make them look like that scene from Pulp Fiction. You know the one.
“Dorks. They look like a couple of dorks.”
Which is why I kind of fell in love with the Tea Collection boys clothes. Their girls’ outfits are quite nice as well, but can I get an amen for boyswear that not only isn’t hideous, it’s downright awesome? Plus, the prices are very decent—most of the shirts I picked out were around $13.00 or so.
Here’s Riley modeling a few of his new shirts:
I think his favorite is the orange diving tee, but mine is definitely the blue hoodie.
Dylan was less interested in being photographed, but here he’s sporting his new HORSE! shirt.
Hello, could this be more perfect for him? (I also got him this layered tee, because BULLSHIRT!)
Cute designs, seem like good quality, shipped in a timely manner, arrived in a nice package, placing a phone order was super easy and unusually pleasant, customer service was top notch. I am totally a new fan of Tea, and if you have kids to clothe I think you might like them too.
Tea would like to offer one of you lucky ducks a $75 gift certificate, so if you’d like a chance at the giveaway, go ahead and leave a comment (any comment is fine, just be sure and include your email address so I can get in touch if the random number thingamajigger picks you). I’ll post the winner . . . oh, let’s say by Monday morning, okay? The only bummer is that Tea doesn’t yet ship internationally (which is a bit ironic, don’t you think, Alanis?), so unfortunately this is limited to the U.S. for now.
Thanks for enduring all my clothing-related blather! I hope you have a great weekend coming up.
**Comments are now closed, and I’ll announce the winner in a separate post. Thanks for participating!**
I love tea! Their girls clothes are adorable without being precious.
I have never heard of Tea, but I am always trying to find decent clothes for my son. Thanks!
Cute stuff! And hey, a gift certificate would save me a trip to the Carter’s outlet.
I love Tea Collection! I found them when trying to find something pretty and not all PINK! SPARKLES! for my girl and also fell in love with their boys clothes. Once MAD is a bit bigger I predict much of his wardrobe will be from Tea.

Never heard of this company before, but the clothes are very cute!
Tea looks awesome! Also, anything is better than the Mario Bros. shirts my son wants to wear every day.
Cute clothes…and cute boys!
I am always, always envious of little girl outfits. I try to find cute affordable stuff for Carter but ugh, I think even the toddler stuff leaves a lot to be desired. Awesome recommendation.
And your boys are adorable.
I love Tea! Their designs are awesome. Thank you for doing this sponsored post so we have a chance at some freebies too!
I totally agree about the boys clothes. I think my 3 y/o has maybe 2 shirts that aren’t Toy Story or Spiderman. I love the plaid hoodie that Riley is wearing! I have 2 boys, so that gift card would come in handy!
As a fellow thrift store lover, I am sooo out of date with brand names. And that company sounds like they are *awesome*.
Yes please! Very cute. And amen on the boys’ clothes options.
Yeah yeah yeah, the clothes are cute and count me in to the drawing. I’m mostly interested in the size of Riley’s FEET. Holy moly, that is going to be one tall kid.
Love this brand! So cute.
My girls have had a few Tea pieces, and they wear like iron. I even have ones from consignment that are no doubt on their third of fourth kid. Great stuff.

Love the clothes and I love TEA as well. I finally have a girl so I’m looking forward to getting all those cute clothes :)
If Tea would like to hire me, I’m available. It sounds like a fascinating company, and yes, I’ve got a son in that frustratingly hard to clothe age range.
I love it! Cubist Bullfight.. hahaa
I am so sick of all the sports related t-shirts. It’s just not my son at all. And what’s with the skulls & bones? As soon as one reaches 3T, it’s like scary anatomy lesson everywhere.
On the other hand, you rarely see skeletons with bows for little girls…
I have both a girl and a boy and I think it’s harder to dress my daughter. The sizes vary from store to store like they do in women’s sizes, and everything is so matchy-matchy that unless you want to spend a small fortune every time you go out, it’s very hard to pick “basic” things. My son, on the other hand; once i know his top and bottom size for the season, I can go store to store and get loads of separates without wondering if they will fit him. Love the orange tee! So much so that i might have to get it, gift certificate or not.
Super cute clothing on your super cute kids. I think my 1 yr old girl would like some Tea duds too.
That is some great stuff! There are some kids in my life who would certainly benefit from this! Thanks for sharing the giveaway!
Cute clothes!
I am so with you on the lack of interesting, non-character clothing for boys. Love that blue hoodie – Tea sounds great!
Cute stuff! I signed up for email updates. Thanks for the heads up.
Free stuff is comment provoking…
Cute clothes! But the boys are pretty cute too. :)
Ridiculously cute! I do believe they have a new fan in me too!! :) Thanks for sharing!
Oh my kids need help with cute clothes! I’m a dork for a living, so my poor kids have too many science t-shirts. :)
I don’t want this for me (my kids are adults now) but I’d love this for my friend in CA who had an ADORABLE baby boy earlier this month (and who, sadly, I won’t get to hold until October). So it would be a giveaway that could keep on giving! (and thanks for the tip to a great new shopping site!)
you can take any topic and make it cute and witty. yah for you and yah for cute clothes!
i’m with you on the boys’ clothes – so hard to find stuff in the 4-6 range that doesn’t make me cringe! tea seems like a company worth checking out.
Yay! for cute clothes! It would be so nice to be able to get some new stuff for my boys instead of the hand-me-downs and thrifty stuff they end up with…
Wow Riley is looking like such a giant KID these days!
I’ve got 4 boys and I totally agree about the lack of variety. If I happen to pick up a few t-shirts at Kohls, we always see a couple of their friends or classmates wearing the same damn thing.
The boys are just growing so fast. They do look cute in the new stuff.
I have never heard of Tea but those shirts are super cute.
Thanks, Linda, for making me smile most everyday.
Those are great, my sister recently commented that half the shirts available for little boys have prints that are not allowed in school. I couldn’t believe how much blood-like splatter I saw on shirts at the mall. Hope they have sales for the holidays, because I would like to order a bunch.
The horse shirt rocks! I know my son would like one.
the little guys look adorable! :)
As a mom of FOUR boys now, yeah, clothing options are slim by the time they hit school age. Thanks for the link!
Yeah cute boy clothes…sign me up!
I have a new little boy, so I suppose it’s time to figure out where to get goof boys clothes!
I live in Canada, so when I saw the no US thing I was horrified! However, I do have a cousin in the states that always loves to buy clothes for her daughter, so I’ll enter on her behalf :)
I LOVE Tea clothes! :)
I’ve only been shopping for 4 months for a boy and already I find it harder than shopping for my daughter! I love the clothes I see at Tea but they are usually out of my price range. This would be so much fun to get a few special things for my kids.
Oh, another person who understands! While my little guy looks cute in t-shirts and shorts, I would love some variety. In the girls’ sections there are dresses and leggings and bright colors and it’s HUGE, while the boys’ section is t-shirts, maybe a polo and a sweater vest, in two racks. So, a chance to change it up?? YES PLEASE!
Agreed, little boys clothes are garish and uninteresting. Thanks for the Tea tip!
I love Tea – a local shop here carries the brand. And I hear you on all of the boys’ logo t-shirts! My little one isn’t quite there yet, but I know he will be all too soon.
