Brief update on the thrilling website change

Okay, hopefully the sidebar is working again for everyone. The image size I normally use for all the bazillions of baby photos I like to scotch-tape all over the internet breaks the layout in IE, which is both annoying and mysterious. The sidebar also gets fubar’d if I make the main content text any bigger, so….small text and pictures are unfortunately required. Sundrymourning.com: Now With Free Reading Glasses!

I ran the site through a validator, which essentially doubled over in contemptuous laughter and slapped its knees at the horribleness of my code, so it’s apparent that all my monkeying with WordPress’s templates produced some substandard results. However, until the part of my brain that lies dormant when it comes to making pie crust, parallel parking, and understanding web authoring technologies miraculously blossoms forth and startles us all, I haven’t got a chance in hell of making everything cruft-free. As long as you can view the pages and you’re not being redirected to an anime panda-porn site or anything, I’ll be happy.

Frankly, they are shocked I would insinuate that there is such a thing as panda porn.

Anyone who still uses IE is a LUSER! Microsnot hasn’t done a thing to upgrade that beastly browser so people who are using it…it’s time to move on. Pretend it’s Netscape or something.

I still don’t understand anything technical that’s being said here so still impressed and good to see normal service, picture-size-wise, has been resumed. Brilliant photo Sundry, absolutely brilliant.

w00t! hooray publishing system! I think this will make your editing process worlds easier. Yeah, it’s painful in the beginning to beat your templates into what you want. But it’s definitely worth it. Congrats!

I use Firefox 1.5 on a Linux distro called SUSE 10 and all that appears for me is the center column.

You are speaking Hungarian when you speak of Validators and Codes or but I can understand Cute and Riley’s little ‘O’ mouth and tiny little baby bird hairs speak the Universal Language of Squishiness.

(The new site looks great. I love the shadow picture and the baby hand too)

One time I found a site that offered VERY simple WP “themes” that were already validated and made it VERY easy to add stuff too to make it your own. They were perfect for me since I’d much rather steal someone else’s hard work than do my own. Of course, I can’t remember where I found them, but it’s safe to assume I asked Google since I do that with everything else.

Also? It took me a solid week to get my site to validate. And even then? It gets undone whenever people leave comments that use an ampersand because evidently that’s BAAAAD.
